大多數人都不知道台鐵新烏日站有這樣一位盡忠職守的貓站長吧。
Most people don’t know that there is such a dedicated cat station manager at Xinwuri Station of Taiwan Railway.
我認識台鐵新烏日站的貓站長，也是近幾年的事。
I didn’t know the cat station manager of the Taiwan Railway Xinwuri Station until three years ago.
三年前，在新烏日站轉搭台鐵區間車時，記得看過這位貓站長，當時，牠站在售票口前大廳瞇瞇笑，偶爾，還有小孩子吵著父母要跟貓站長合照。
Three years ago, when I transferred to Xinwuri Station, that’s the first time I saw the cat station manager.
At that time, it stood in the lobby of the ticket gate and laughed. Occasionally, there were children who would take photos with him.
過了一陣子，沒看到貓站長出現在售票口前大廳，以為牠退休了。
After a while, I didn’t see the cat station manager in the lobby of the ticket gate, thinking that he was retired.
有次等車時，在售票口前閒晃，抬頭一看，看到貓站長被塞在二樓的玻璃欄杆後面。

「你怎麼在那裡呢？」
“Why are you there?”

「你還會繼續待在那裡嗎？」

「誰知道？搞不好明天就被丟到倉庫了…」
“Who knows? Tomorrow I might be thrown into the warehouse…”
「…我還是幫你拍張照吧。」
“I still want to take a photo for you.”
「好的，我會笑著對你招手，下次經過時，記得看看我還在不在這。」
