劇情簡介
好好先生George Bailey在小鎮Bedford Falls長大，從小夢想往外闖世界。好幾次機會來了，卻因為要成就別人而被逼捨棄。George神推鬼撞接管了父親與叔叔的按揭合作社公司業務。有錢佬Potter先生對他們的公司虎視眈眈，公司面臨過幾次考驗，慶幸都化險為夷。George與青梅竹馬的Mary成家立室，育有幾名可愛的兒女。1945年的平安夜，二次大戰完結，當大家準備慶祝佳節，George弟弟Harry從歐洲戰場凱旋歸來前，George突然遇上了有生以來最大的經濟危機，令他絕望透頂。 這次，他還會得到命運之神的眷顧麼？

George Bailey生平

• 家庭成員：父親Peter Bailey，母親Irene Bailey，弟弟Harry Bailey。妻子Mary Hatch，膝下共四名子女。
• 1907年出生於紐約州的Bedford Falls小鎮(小鎮為虛構)。
• 1919年 (12歲)：因為拯救弟弟，導致左邊聽覺終生受損。同一年，一次大戰電報傳來，他在Gower先生的藥店打工，制止了一樁悲劇。
• 1928年(21歲)：經濟大蕭條前夕，他準備遠行，最後卻臨危受命，接管父親的按揭合作社公司業務。
• 1932年(25歲)：Harry大學畢業回來，並宣佈婚訊及接受岳父的差事。George留在小鎮，與Mary Hatch結婚。婚後不久，銀行爆發擠提事件。
• 1934年(27歲)：他的Bailey公園小社區成形，有錢佬Potter想把他羅致旗下。同年他的長子誕生，跟隨爺爺命名為Peter。次女其後，取名Janie。
• 1941年(34歲)：二次大戰期間，因耳疾免於兵役。與Mary再添子女，女兒Zuzu及幼子Tommy。
• 1945年(38歲)：二戰完結，平安夜，Harry正凱旋回國。George遇上重大經濟危機。
