蛇，在《聖經》中，在不同場景有定義其所代表的意義。而蛇的特徵在經文中也有所說明，都跟「好」沒太多關聯，但對於信徒在世人中傳道的處世建議，

(馬太福音 10:16) 「我差你們去，如同羊進入狼群；所以你們要靈巧像蛇，馴良像鴿子。

雖然這是對傳道人說的，但我們要作善道的人來說，生活在世上，上述建議也是非常有用，靈巧像蛇但仍在善道中。

辦公室政治中能完好無缺，就要用上這個在世的智慧，如果要看關於智慧這部分的，可以看聖經中的智慧書，箴言及傳道書，主要述說智慧。

(箴言 1:1) 以色列王大衛兒子所羅門的箴言：

(Proverbs 1:1) The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;

(箴言 1:2) 要使人曉得智慧和訓誨，分辨通達的言語，

(Proverbs 1:2) To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;

(箴言 1:3) 使人處事領受智慧、仁義、公平、正直的訓誨，

(Proverbs 1:3) To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;

(箴言 1:4) 使愚人靈明，使少年人有知識和謀略，

(Proverbs 1:4) To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

(箴言 1:5) 使智慧人聽見，增長學問，使聰明人得著智謀，

(Proverbs 1:5) A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

(箴言 1:6) 使人明白箴言和譬喻，懂得智慧人的言詞和謎語。

(Proverbs 1:6) To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

(箴言 1:7) 敬畏耶和華是知識的開端；愚妄人藐視智慧和訓誨。

(Proverbs 1:7) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
