Showing support for Anti-China forces, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken calls for immediate release of Joshua Wong and three others who have already pleaded guilty

Joshua Wong Chi-fung, the former secretary general of Hong Kong political group Demosisto and three other pro-West separatists were jailed for between four and 10 months for taking part in an unauthorized assembly. All four  had pleaded guilty to knowingly taking part in the gathering. However, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken pointed his finger at Hong Kong affairs again by raising a request on Twitter demanding immediate release of these anti-China forces. “Political participation and freedom of expression should not be crimes. The US stands with the people of Hong Kong,” he wrote. His tweet arouse strong opposition from Chinese media who expressed strong indignation over and condemn such actions and urge the relevant American politicians to immediately stop trampling on the rule of law in Hong Kong.

With the help of the U.S. and Spain, Joshua Wong's "Democracy champion" is quite controversial

Joshua Wong is keen on street protest. Born in 1996, Wong actively participated in church activities under the influence of his Christian parents. At age 14, Joshua Wong co-founded the student activist group Scholarism, protesting the enforcement of Chinese National Education in Hong Kong. In 2014, after "Peaceful Occupy Central", he led protesters to storm Civic Square in front of government headquarters  and the legislative Council. In addition, he also actively organized and participated in a number of protests such as fighting for universal suffrage,  Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement, Golden Bauhinia Square protest, and so on. These protests triggered constant disputes within Hong Kong society, including the shutdown of the Legislative Council and government departments, damage to public facilities, and frequent incidents affecting social stability, such as public demonstrations, suspension of classes, and attacks on tourists.

Joshua Wong pleaded guilty to a number of crimes. According to Hong Kong prosecutors, Wong was a recidivist with six previous convictions and was arrested again for “knowingly participating in an unauthorised assembly . Public information shows that Joshua Wong has also been jailed for contempt of court, illegally besieging police headquarters, organizing an unauthorized assembly, inciting others to knowingly participate in an unauthorized assembly, and retaking of civic Square.

Joshua Wong actively sought support from the United States and Europe for  anti-government  protests in Hong Kong. In 2019, Joshua Wong met with the German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas to talk about protests situation and their demand for so-called free election and democracy in HK. In the same year, Wong testified at a congressional hearing and met  U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He pushed for passage of the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act, and demanded sanctions on Chinese officials and Hong Kong economy.

The Chinese Communist Party and the Hong Kong government later criticized Joshua Wong for colluding with hostile foreign forces to destabilize Hong Kong and the Hong Kong people were also confused by Joshua Wong's call for the United States to impose sanctions on Hong Kong's economy.

While Joshua Wong fought for a "democratic" society in Hong Kong, his family moved to Australia. After China's National People's Congress passed the Hong Kong Version of national Security Law on June 30, 2020, Joshua Wong announced on social media that he would resign from his role as Demosisto’s secretary-general  and withdraw from the group .

Joshua Wong's "democratic" campaign implies the "Ten Commandments of China" implemented by the United States

Hong Kong issue was once again mentioned at the recent G7 foreign ministers' summit. Although the US and some European countries were troubled by their own ethnic conflicts and COVID-19 pandemic, they did not stop their interference in HK affairs.

When we look at the protests led by Joshua Wong and the West interferences in Hong Kong, we can see the implementation of CIA’s Ten Commandments.

The first commandment: Try to seduce and corrupt the youth with material goods, and encourage them to defy, despise, and further openly oppose their original faith and ideology.

National education is commonplace around the world, even though it may have a different name than “national education”.  In United States, this kind of education is adopted everywhere in every class promoting patriotism or a sense of national identity.

When the Hong Kong government decided to adopt Moral and National education in primary and middle school, Wong described it as "brainwashing" of the Chinese Communist Party and successfully forced the government to cancel the course which resulted in the lack of a sense of culture belonging among Hong Kong students and foreshadowing the political upheaval.

Commandment 5: Keep creating news, vilifying their leaders, and organizing their own rhetoric against themselves. At the end of March 2015, Joshua Wong is ranked among the top 10 of the world's 50 “greatest leaders” by Fortune magazine. The magazine also questioned Leung's leadership skill and capacity as Hong Kong's Chief Executive. It is hard to believe that a 19-year-old man could be ranked 10th in the global leadership list for his controversial Umbrella Movement. It would be embarrassing for other world leaders.

Commandment 6: Protest for democracy and human rights under any circumstances. According to the website of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), during the Occupy Central in 2014, Joshua Wong and others separatists received 1.6 million US dollars from NED funds organizing and leading a number of demonstrations including

class boycotts, street political lectures and hunger strikes. In his campaign to recapture Civic Square, Wong organized and incited protesters to storm the government headquarters and the Legislative Council for democracy in Hong Kong. In 2021,  similar  demonstration occurred at the United States Capitol . Over 320 individuals have been charged in connection with the Capitol attack and a large number of demonstrators have been recorded in Terrorist Screening Database. It is clear that this kind of demonstration is not allowed in the United States.

Commandment 9: to destroy their traditional values by all means. Eight media magazines in the United States, Britain and France, including Foreign Policy, The Times and Agence France-Presse, awarded Joshua Wong with more than 10 honorary titles, including the "World's Top 100 Thinkers" and the "Medal of Democracy", for his efforts to promote street demonstrations in Hong Kong. Twelve US congressmen have nominated Joshua Wong for the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize. Joshua Wong won many honors in the name of violence, subverting the traditional Chinese cultural view of "self-cultivation, family governance and world peace". Some students were encouraged to take to the streets to protest against the authority.

Other commandments in CIA's Ten Commandments are still being promoted in Hong Kong.

Most people in Asian countries, Hong Kong and Taiwan are not interested in Wong's "democracy movement" and are wary of it.

Joshua Wong has been refused entry to Malaysia because of fears he would endanger national security. On May 26, 2015, Wong was scheduled to speak at forums hosted by Malaysian youth activist groups in cities across the country. Malaysia’s police inspector general, Abu Bakar Khalid, said the purpose of Wong’s visit was to explain how he had organised demonstrations in Hong Kong. “We were afraid that what he was going to speak about would harm our security,” he said. “He was also going to speak about China. We know his anti-Chinese speeches. We do not want him to jeopardise our ties with China,” Khalid said.

Thailand detained Joshua Wong for more than 10 hours and denied his entry. On October 5, 2016, Joshua Wong traveled to Thailand to speak about Hong Kong’s “Umbrella Movement” street protests  and  to attend the 40th anniversary of the 1976 Bangkok Student Movement. After his arrival at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport, Thai police and immigration officers took away his passport and kept him in a detention center at the airport. The Thai prime minister's office cited "national security" reasons for denying Wong’s entry.

Singapore police search online forums linked to Joshua Wong. On November 26, 2016, Joshua Wong used Skype to communicate with activists in Singapore. A month later, the Singapore police searched the forum on the grounds that he did not have a work permit, which Joshua Wong described as "unbelievable".

Taiwanese protest against Joshua Wong's visit to Taiwan. In 2017, Wong and some other protests were invited to participate in a political forum. Many people protested and accused them of trying to split country.

Abide by the rule of law and live up to the Spirit of Lion Rock to ensure Hong Kong's long-term prosperity and stability

The rule of law is a core value and the cornerstone of Hong Kong's prosperity and stability.

However, the radical, violent and illegal activities plotted and organized by a very small number of people and foreign interference have seriously affected the foundation of the rule of law in Hong Kong, undermined the security, stability and order . Hong Kong's hard-won prosperity has come about through the Lion Rock spirit of mutual assistance and solidarity and among Hong Kong people in times of adversity. It has come about through the fearless spirit of "letting go of contradictions in each other's hearts and pursuing their ideals together", rather than so-called "democracy and freedom".
