Use of Carbon Dioxide Sensor

Carbon dioxide is an important part of the earth's atmosphere, it is not only the main reactant of photosynthesis in green plants, but also a major "killer" of environmental pollution.

Carbon dioxide is an important part of the earth's atmosphere, it is not only the main reactant of photosynthesis in green plants, but also a major "killer" of environmental pollution. With the development of science and technology and people's awareness of environmental protection, quantitative monitoring and control of carbon dioxide gas has become a home, shopping malls, agriculture, medical care, automotive and environmental protection and other areas of growing demand.

Carbon dioxide sensors are special sensors used to detect the carbon dioxide content in the air, and have a very wide range of applications in many fields. Commonly used are solid electrolyte type, thermal conductivity type, non-dispersive infrared type and so on, among which the non-dispersive infrared principle of carbon dioxide sensors are the most widely used.

1.Carbon Dioxide Monitoring in Civil Field

In home life, shopping malls, hospitals, stations and other scenarios, carbon dioxide sensors are usually integrated into air conditioners, fresh air systems, air purifiers and other equipment to improve indoor air quality for us, as well as to save energy and reduce emissions to create a good living environment.

Non-dispersive infrared type and solid electrolyte type carbon dioxide sensors, both of which can be used for carbon dioxide gas detection in the civil field. Among them, solid electrolyte type belongs to chemical type sensor, non-linear output, low cost, suitable for products that need strict cost control, infrared carbon dioxide sensor has good selectivity, better anti-interference performance, linear output, high precision, long life and other advantages, can be applied to most indoor air monitoring scenarios.

2.Carbon Dioxide Monitoring in Agricultural Greenhouses and Breeding Houses

Reasonable use of carbon dioxide gas fertilizer is needed in greenhouses to ensure high quality and high yield of vegetables, flowers, fungi, etc.; good ventilation rate needs to be maintained in breeding houses to ensure healthy growth of livestock.

3. Carbon Dioxide Monitoring for Industrial Safety

The need to monitor carbon dioxide concentrations is common in carbon dioxide related industries such as metal processing, pulp and paper, cleaning and solvent extraction, and cryogenic cleaning. High-end industrial sites are more complex environments, with higher requirements for sensor range, performance, and sometimes explosion-proof features.
