藝穗會外Outside the Fringe Club

藝穗會位於中環下亞厘畢道和雲咸街交界

順著被這棟磚造的百年歷史建築所隔開的兩條坡度不同的道路

一條去到的是著名的蘭桂坊夜生活酒吧區

一邊是則是去到下十八層地獄都不夠的林奠賊窩

而藝穗會的後棟則是代表著過去香港媒體自由的外國記者會(FCCHK)

一個國家或一個城市的自由度有哪些衡量準則呢？

一般來說，媒體自由絕對是自由社會的一個重要指標

而過去那個作為自由開放國際大都市的香港

國際媒體在當地的採訪自由度始終都是全球的優等生

而如今卻以極快的速度跌落到水準之下

逼得國際媒體與記者紛紛撤守/逃離這個自由之城

每回在中環斜坡道的巷弄間遊走探險

感受著內心質地的複雜與糾結

直到現在看著中環附近一帶的照片

腦海中還是輪播著一張張怵目驚心的畫面

感謝

我的心還沒有死

希望 還在遠方

The Fringe Club, a historic "blood and bandages" brickwork, is located at a junction of Wyndham Street and Lower Albert Road. One way is to Lan Kwai Fong nightlife area; the other is to damned Carrie Lam's den. The Foreign Correspondents' Club (FCCHK) is located at the back of this brick building.

How do people measure the degree of freedom? Frankly, the freedom of the media and press is one of the most important criteria. HK city had been a free and open city with high freedom of covering news. But it has been falling below average rapidly and this situation has compelled international press and journalists to get away from this sad and dangerous city.

Every time I wandered or explored in this area, I could feel the complicated and torn myself. Up to now, there have been many unforgettable and terrific scenes in my mind while looking at pictures of Central.

They are the evidence to explain my heart is alive.

And hope is still waiting for us in the distance.
