Gold Bar or Gold Ring / Gold Bracelet / Gold necklace

When talking about investing in Gold, which kind of gold do you prefer? The elegant gold ring or bracelet with beautiful décor? Or the pure gold bar which has less depreciation on the labor cost?

It’s very common to seeing Asian people, especially Chinese and Indian to get many many gold ring / bracelet / necklace when they are prepare to marry with his wife, usually such gold ring, bracelet, necklace as a gift for the female’s family for wedding.

Basically it’s nothing wrong to show your sincerity when you are going to marry the other’s daughter. However, this progress is becoming too commercial to the people and it’s more like a show for them showing off to the other how rich they are.

You can see many many Jewelry retail shops in the street at both Hong Kong and Mainland China, not sure the situation in India but guess it’s pretty much the same as they are like the Chinese people, they love to buy lot of gold as a gift for the wedding ceremony.

Last week the wife of my brother-in-law shown me the picture when she’s visiting the jewelry branch, I am surprised to seeing there are quite lot of people visiting the jewelry retail shop in office hour during weekday.

It proofs that the Chinese people are really fancy in the jewelry / good design on the gold, diamond ring, etc.

Frankly speaking, I am quite dizzy when looking at too many different gold ring, bracelet with many décor. Personally think that it’s purely a high end decoration in gold / silver / diamond, it doesn’t worth too many money when you are trying to sell them back to the shop.

But the gold bar is way different, you don’t have to pay high cost on the labour for the design, you can sell at higher price when the spot gold price goes up.

Therefore I gotta say I only have interested in the pre gold bar or other jewelry with pure gold only instead of having many design.
