Interesting contrast

I made it very clear that Hong Kong is like a dead city lately and I hardly seen any people on the street during lunch hour, but I saw an interesting contrast yesterday when I was taking the order to go in my favorite café.

I saw so many people queuing outside the Hainan Chicken shop for the order to go, and I saw all tables were full inside. I was so surprise too seeing such scene when considering the pandemic situation in Hong Kong lately.

Feel like people doesn’t give a shit to the pandemic anymore while Russia started invading Ukraine, all medias just focus on reporting on the Russia-Ukraine crisis and we were difficult to get any update on the local infected number on the major medias in Hong Kong.

Maybe that’s why people temporary forget the pandemic and they dare to go out for lunch? Hold on, it doesn’t make sense, when I look closer to my favorite café, there were only 3 / 4 people dining in and I couldn’t see anybody waiting for the order to go outside the shop.

It’s going to be funny to seeing only that Hainan Chicken shop got so many people but the other shops are nearly empty, can’t really tell the reason of this weird situation. Maybe I should say, the Hong Kong people is kinda weird…anyway, I had a really good lunch box from the café which is enough.
