Ø Introduction

    Use a single NI PXI computer to realize integrated navigation and automatic control of solar electric boats. The system architecture uses one NI PXI computer to replace traditional ship automation monitoring, electronic computing, data processing, electronic charts, automatic steering, and battery management. Controllers and gauges to complete the challenge.
The system firstly collects all kinds of information, usually various sensors. The pressure sensor at the bow of the ship can sense the head sea situation and transmit it to the NI PXI-6221 data acquisition card. After calculation and comparison, the built-in pxi database sends it out again. NI PXI-7354 4-axis high-efficiency stepper/servo motion controller is used to control the output revolutions of the main motor pwm. The above also refers to the pressure sensor on the slave main shaft to prevent invalid driving force. At the same time, the pitch and trim of the propeller can be controlled to generate the most effective forward thrust to save power. NI PXI also collects sensors located around the ship to understand the attitude of the ship, and adjusts the BALLAST through the LAB VIEW automation controller to maintain a stable attitude of the ship to achieve the best power-saving condition.
  In the solar electric boat, it uses sustainable energy as the solar panel, senses the NI PXI through the sunshine meter and simultaneously monitors the voltage and current to adjust the maximum power output to the battery. The battery is composed of a large number of battery modules, each battery module Temperature, voltage, and current are also monitored to reach the BMS system of the battery, which is also completed by the NI PXI host.

 The electronic chart data of the solar electric boat is also a built-in NI PXI host. The driver can preset the route on the NI PXI host. When the automatic driving mode is used, the NI PXI-7354 4-axis high-efficiency stepping/servo motion controller, The electric servo motor can be controlled to control the angle of the rudder to steer. When the course of action of the solar electric boat changes, the position of the boat can be known and displayed on the screen through NI PXI-6682 GPS, IEEE 1588, and IRIG-B timing and synchronization. At the same time, NI The PXI mainframe compares the preset route to control the electric servo motor to change the angle of the rudder to complete automatic navigation.
