A non-love non-song
I didn’t mean to write you poetry
Coz it’s way too formal and ちょっと unnecessary
I was just walking home on an ordinary Monday
when we Skyped at my 11 and your 8
And I suddenly started thinking again
That you are the only person in my life
Who knows every single bit of me
From something as small as I like pizza
I think the only other person who knows this is my mum
To my full list of bias ranking of BTS
Which is top secret and that is a level higher than ‘confidential’ and ‘secret’
From what I study to when I teach
From me being Yoyoko to camdenaragakiyui
And then you call me サブリナ氏
That is an English name plus a Korean suffix
Used between a Japanese and a Chinese
On a scale of 1 to 10
How fit do you see it as love language
Not to mention the fact that
You’ve seen a million times of my ‘just-got-out-of-bed’ face
To some people in some parts of this world
This should mean marriage
But you ain’t marriage material
Neither should I be
You could be some love-of-my-life material
But I don’t believe in that shit
Life is made up of journeys
And you’ve been a very important part of one of them
You are my VIP
Yet this is not a love poem
Confession, yes
But not at all poetic and
There are too many conjunctions
I think of it as rap lyrics
Except it doesn’t rhyme
Which adds some rock-n-roll zest to it
But even for a rock song
There should be a refrain
Of all the lines I’ve just written
I cannot find a part I’d like it to be repeated
Or shall I just repeat this
Of all the lines I’ve just written
I cannot find a part I’d like it to be repeated
(Actually scratch that
I don’t even think the grammar is correct)
Let’s just say this is a non-song
About non-love
Which eventually makes it
Pure poetry
Just so you know
I didn’t mean to write you poetry
But I hope I can read this to you one day
