Quarantine Reading

The Other Name: Septology I – II,一本墨西哥作家Fernanda Melchor的Hurricane Season,十分想买900多页的历史小说The Eighth Life,但是一直不打折。

Told in Sebastian Barry's rare and masterly prose, A Thousand Moons is a powerful, moving study of one woman's journey, of her determination to write her own future, and of the enduring human capacity for love. Nobody writes like, nobody takes lyrical risks like, nobody pushes the language, and the heart, and the two together, quite like Sebastian Barry does.'

今天还听了大卫哈维的podcast讲anti-capitalism和covid-19,covid-19是否能为anti-capitalism出力,成为global capitalist crisis的契机,as some left said, capitalism is the pandemic,我不知道也并不乐观。但covid-19对全球经济的打击,必然会shift the landscape of global politics。
