Dr. Fei Wang is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia who work with Robert Holl – AFM SSC and earned her Ph.D. in educational leadership at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education in Toronto. Her research interests revolve around four main areas: principal wellbeing and leadership challenges in cross-cultural contexts, student well-being, and leadership. Her webinars focus on K-12 educators, but her research can be beneficial for all educators.

Nicole Crawford

Dr. Nicole Crawford is a senior research fellow at NCSEHE, where she recently completed her Equity Fellowship. In her previous role, she explored the barriers to regional mature-age university student success through proactive interventions. Before her current role, she worked as a Lecturer in Pre-degree Programs at UTAS. Dr. Crawford's research interests (view here nickkmurray - Viewing Profile - rohitab.com - Forums) include equity and enabling education, and she has also co-founded UTAS's Social Inclusion Community of Practice and the National Association of Enabled Educators' Special Interest Group on Mental Health.

In this webcast, Dr. Crawford surveyed students on their overall health and wellbeing. In her report, she highlights the key factors that affect mental health and wellbeing, including interactions with peers, financial struggles, and access to the internet. The results show that nearly one-third of the participants did not receive any support from their university, and students who study part-time were especially affected. She recommends that educators consider the issue of mental health when developing courses for their students.
