1. Firstly, place the Wi-Fi extender near an electric outlet for the Wi-Fi router. Now, switch on the supply power and button. Wait till the extender LED to light green.
2. Now, connect the Wi-Fi extender by using a Wi-Fi connection; for this, you can also use the ethernet cable.
3. If you are using an Ethernet cable, then connect it by using the Ethernet port on the computer and Wi-Fi extender.
4. Open the connection manager for the Wi-Fi connection. After that, locate the network, which is known as Mywifiext or Netgear_ext.
5. After that, proceed to the browser and enter the 192.168.1.250 IP address. The extender setup page will display.
6. From the extender setup page, choose the new extender setup button. Enter the details in the requested field and tap next.
7. After that, verify the access point/extender switch is on extender mode only.
8. Select nearest Wi-Fi and tap to next button. You can also change the Wi-Fi frequency bands.
9. Although, if you don’t want to change, then clear your Wi-Fi bands. Here, you might face the issue of the Netgear installation assistant is not working.

11. Here, choose the Wi-Fi name and then enter the security passcode when prompted. Now, proceed further and enter the password.

13. You can proceed further if the device is connected to the new Netgear Wi-Fi extended network.

15. Tap to the next button to be on the Netgear installation assistant registration page. Enter the details in the requested fields.
