小區里有個婦女

五十好幾的年紀

養了十幾只狗

大小不同 品種各異

不知什麼來歷

There is a woman in my neighborhood

well in her fifties

She has a dozen dogs

of different sizes and breeds

No one knows what's the story

她每天下樓遛狗

陰晴寒暑無阻

狗每天都一樣

不多不少 不吵不鬧

心外無物地想心事

She walks her dogs every day

throughout the years, rain or shine

The dogs remain the same

The same number of them, docile and peaceful

As if absorbed in nonchalance

今早我去跑步

又碰見了她和她的狗兒

各自低頭 專心吃屎

排著隊

比人還沈默

This morning I was jogging

when I saw her parade of dogs

Each dog was sniffing for excrement

so devoted, so engrossed, in a perfect queue

More silent than human beings
